The Giants salvaged a series Sunday afternoon, as Randy Johnson hoisted the team on his back with his phenomenal pitching.
Johnson had a no-hitter going into the seventh inning, but gave up a lead-off double. He later got out of the inning run free and the giants won the game 2-0 with Brian Wilson finishing the deal in the ninth.
Tim Lincecum tried this tactic on Saturday as he pitched eight scoreless innings and struck out 13 batters, but his effort came up short as the Giants lost 2-0.
The Giants are now 4-2 at home and 0-6 on the road. That stat will need to change fast as the Giants don’t want to dig too big of a hole to climb out of.
